ProFM's Strategy For Sustainability
With global deadlines poised to revolutionise the inner workings of every sector, it falls to the leaders of their respective industries to truly pave the way. That’s what we’re seeing to do with our concrete, robust plans for our Environmental, Social and Governance initiatives.
Without the right plans for a sustainable, achievable future, we can’t truly be at the forefront of all we do. With this page, you’ll discover more about how we seek to support our communities (both nationally and locally), how we’re embracing a more eco-friendly future in our sector, and what that all means for our clients, our colleagues and our company as a whole.

That’s no more evident than in our long-standing commitments to our people, our clients and – crucially – our environment. That commitment to sustainability has quickly become a focal, but it’s nothing new for ProFM.
We’ve got a well-established reputation for delivering services that couple eco-friendly practices with stellar service, and we’re well in line with the global aim of net-zero by 2050. It’s integral to all we do, and, with diverse leadership piloting our pursuit of the next big leap in ESG, we’re forging a new path for the future of facilities management.
We’ve always believed that our people are our greatest strength here at ProFM. You’ll see that through the exceptional service every single person under our umbrella provides, particularly so in our leadership and management teams.
There’s an especially evident focus on promoting from within, with an estimated 75% of all our Senior Leaders starting their careers as frontline staff members or apprentices.
That’s supplemented by our extensive rewards and incentives, which are continually undergoing refinement to ensure we recognise and praise those who deserve it most.
With pressing deadlines for more environmentally conscious practices, we’re striving to carve a path towards a brighter future for everyone in the facilities management sector. From eco-friendly vehicles in our fleets to recycling and waste reduction schemes at sites across the UK, ProFM are seeking to pave the way to improved planetary health.
We don’t end there, either. We know that, as part of our position as a leader in the facilities management sector, we have a duty of care to our clients. We’ve got a proven track record of bringing huge, energy-saving initiatives to our large-scale clientele, with our eco-friendly work with CAF Rolling Stock providing exceptional figures in both energy saved, and costs reduced.
Of course, we couldn’t shout about how we’re blazing a trail in facilities management without first practicing what we preach. Here’s just a flavour of our ongoing environmental initiatives here at ProFM.

LANPAC is a unique collaboration between Lancashire Constabulary, Lancashire Businesses and Public Services working together to reduce levels of crime and disorder across the county. It's truly an honour to be considered part of an initiative that’s paving the way for a brighter, safer and more sustainable future for businesses, entrepreneurs and communities alike.
We understand that not everyone is as fortunate as we might be, and for us, that’s an opportunity to give back and to support the community. We’ve organised several food bank drives, providing much-needed resources to the Living Waters Church in Chorley, as well as other local food banks.
Arguably the essence of social commitments, and integral to ensuring that the vital work of charities across the UK can continue, donations and fundraising are held near and dear at ProFM. With more than £30,000 donated to cancer charities and initiatives, we’ve supported several crucial charities, including Cancer Research UK, Children in Need and Breast Cancer UK.
One of the most accessible and well-recognised charitable endeavours, we’re proud to have brought the infamous Macmillan Coffee Morning to our Head Office for several years running, all intending to raise donations through bake sales, quizzes and raffles. It’s also an ideal opportunity to practice mindfulness over coffee and cake.
A recent development, and one that we’re exceptionally proud to have been part of, we’ve entered into a partnership with the charity Autism Beaudon – Understanding Kindness. Integral to its local community, and closely tied to many people who we work or interact with regularly, the opportunity to offer sponsorship was one that we were immediately drawn to.
We're huge advocates for the power of effective education, and our ongoing support of Inspire Youth Zone in Chorley only serves to reinforce that. We've attended careers fairs, charitable events, and even 5-a-side tournaments to offer our support for a well-deserving initiative.
A merging of both our Environmental and Social commitments, we take several key members of our Head Office staff down to a nearby beach to clean up the litter we often see on our coastlines. It’s a cost-effective, environmentally friendly way to have a major impact on our local community.
