Langley Park was designed and constructed by Laing Homes and just 10 miles from central London and in a sought-after residential area of Beckenham, the award-winning Langley Park development is located in natural surroundings. Construction commenced late in 1998 and the first residents were celebrating Christmas 1999 in their new homes. The final stages were completed in 2004. The development includes 40 acres of open space offering its residents a private and peaceful lifestyle.
For peace of mind, the development is accessed through a gated, 24 hour manned entrance. Other key areas of the development are also monitored by a CCTV system via the security lodge.
The currently installed access control system operated on a manual open-and close manually, meaning a 24-hour, 7 days a week manned gate house is a critical security element, and essential for ensuring comprehensive resident safety and peace of mind.
Around the clock security is also vital to maintain a disruption-free estate, as well as preventing  any unauthorised canvassers, vandalism, theft and a host of other criminal/antisocial activities that pose a substantial threat to such a high profile environment.
ProFM Group, in a mission to fulfil the Residents Association’s requirements, have now implemented several key process changes that have drastically improved the security function on-site. These have included the ProFM security officers having exclusive access and programming of the estates access control fobs.
Security officers are now stationed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the estate’s gatehouse to ensure that security is upheld constantly, and that residents can enjoy a safe and secure living environment.
Our security personnel also acted upon initiative to implement an innovative process that notifies residents when their parcels and post have arrived. Prior to this, many parcels were going missing, being delivered to the wrong houses, or outright lost after they’ve been delivered.
ProFM Groups’ dedicated security staff have full control of access to the estate, meaning there are no unrecognised or unauthorised personnel. Our security officers are stationed at the gatehouse 24 hours a day, and manually manage the access control system. We have also created a process for notifying residents of their parcels and post being delivered.
The result is a more secure estate with residents that know that their safety is important. There has been a significant reduction in the number of unauthorised personnel on site, which is absolutely essential for such a prestigious environment.
