ProFM’s Founding Year

ProFM were founded back in 1996 as Knight Security, before quickly becoming Churchill Security. Created in response to past security disappointments, we paved the way for tailor-made security and exceptional quality service.

Cleaning Division Is Created

Our cleaning division, formerly known as Vanguard Cleaning, was established, building robust solutions to the UK’s cleaning problems, with a focus on notoriously meticulous medical cleaning.

The Approved Contractor Scheme

We were among the first to join the Approved Contractor Scheme, a voluntary initiative launched by the SIA to improve quality and service delivery across our industry. It became a clear commitment to improving security for all.

Pioneering The ACS Audit

We pioneered the ACS auditing process, achieving a first-ever score of 76.4%. It paved the way for further development, and signposted our next steps for growth, improvement andcontinual excellence.

Cutting-Edge Electronics

First introduced our Electronic Security options, including CCTV solutions, intruder alarms and access control. It was a statement move and signalled our ambition to progress with the changing tides of security.

Through The Pandemic

Secured major, nationwide contracts with multiple businesses grappling with the pandemic, including Aldi and Dobbie’s Garden Centres. Continued to deliver our usual exceptional security with zero disruption.

Officially The UK's #1

Named as the UK’s #1 security company under the Approved Contractor Scheme. Added expert cleaning to our services with the acquisition of Vanguard Cleaning, now an integral part of the ProFM Group.

Second Year At The Top

Retained our title as the UK’s #1 security company, and expanded our portfolio of sites to include major names like World Duty Free and Rab Outdoor Clothing. 2024 also saw the acquisition of electronic security specialists Sonitech, their expertise being a pivotal addition to the group.
